SALISBURY – A 53-year-old Salisbury resident won the $30,000 top prize on her first-ever FAST PLAY Fortune Cookie game, attributing her win to beginner’s luck.

The winner, opting for the nickname “George,” tried the $3 game because her usual scratch-off choices were not in stock at Shore Stop #211 in Salisbury. This unexpected turn led her to believe that the win was “meant to be.”

“George” said the prize was a shock; she had never won more than $1,000 before. She plans to use the money for a vacation cruise and will save the remainder for future needs.

Shore Stop #211 will receive a $300 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The Fortune Cookie game, which launched on April 3, still has nine $30,000 top prizes and 109 $1,000 second-tier prizes available.
