Pedestrian Struck in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision at the intersection of Duke and Paxton Streets earlier today. The incident occurred at 9:46 a.m., when a vehicle failed to yield to the pedestrian.

The victim, an adult female, suffered severe injuries but is reported to be in stable condition and her injuries are considered non-life-threatening. The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and was subsequently cited by the Alexandria Police Department for failing to yield the right of way.
