Family Members Implicated in Deadly Stabbing of Man in College Park

COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is probing a fatal stabbing that took place in a home on Sunday evening, resulting in the death of 45-year-old Asinia Stewart.

Around 8:40 p.m. on October 22, police were called to a residence in the 3400 block of Metzerott Road. Stewart was found inside the home with stab wounds.

He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

Investigators have revealed that the individuals connected to this incident are family members. The Homicide Unit is working closely to determine what led to the stabbing.

An investigation is underway with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office to decide if charges are warranted.
