Willingboro Police Arrest Man Following Vehicle Shooting on Buttercup Lane

WILLINGBORO, NJ — On Sunday, at approximately 5:08 p.m., the Willingboro Police Department responded to Buttercup Lane following a report of a shooting.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Anthony Gaither-Pugh of Willingboro, was arrested after firing a weapon into an unoccupied vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Officers on patrol quickly located Gaither-Pugh and took him into custody without incident. During the arrest, a handgun was found in his possession.

No one was injured during the event. Police believe it to be an isolated incident and state there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Gaither-Pugh faces multiple charges including Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, Harassment, Possession of a Weapon with an Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine, Criminal Mischief with Damage, and Person Unauthorized to have Weapons.
