Shooting in Paterson Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

PATERSON, NJ – Early Sunday morning, a shooting incident occurred in the vicinity of Market and East 36th streets.

Paterson Police arrived at the scene around 3:01 a.m. after receiving reports, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office reported.

 Officers found a 32-year-old Paterson resident with multiple gunshot wounds, who was later transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.

Another individual, suffering from a chest gunshot wound, was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.

The victims’ identities remain undisclosed.
