One Dead, Two Injured in Silver Spring Shooting

SILVER SPRING, MD – A shooting incident in the Fairland area resulted in one death and two injuries late Monday.

Montgomery County Police are currently holding an individual in relation to the shooting, though investigations are ongoing.

Around 11 p.m., police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel reached the 14300 block of Fairdale Road.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man with a gunshot wound who was declared dead on the spot. Two other men, also with gunshot injuries, were found at the scene.

While one has non-life-threatening wounds, the condition of the other remains unknown. Both were rushed to nearby hospitals.
