Armed Robbery Outside Verizon Store in Gambrills Under Investigation

GAMBRILLS, MD — On October 25 at around 11:20 a.m., Anne Arundel County Police officers responded to a reported armed robbery in the parking lot of a Verizon store located at 2385 Brandermill Boulevard. A 31-year-old victim stated he was robbed at gunpoint shortly after withdrawing money from a nearby Navy Federal Credit Union ATM.

According to the victim, his vehicle was rear-ended by a white vehicle as he started to drive away from the ATM. Both vehicles then pulled into the Verizon store parking lot. Two males exited the white vehicle, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. After the victim handed over the money, the suspects also took his cell phone before fleeing the scene in their vehicle.

Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspects. The Western District Detectives are leading the investigation and urge anyone with information to contact them at 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
