Man Slashed With Machete, Robbed Aboard NYC Subway Train

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department seeks assistance in identifying individuals related to a severe robbery incident.

The event took place on Thursday, October 12, around 9:40 pm.

A 20-year-old male at the East 180 Street and Morris Park Avenue train station was confronted by three unknown individuals who demanded his possessions.

They took the victim’s wallet, shirt, and a shoe. One of these unidentified males then used a machete, striking the victim on his head. The culprits subsequently fled on foot in the direction of Van Buren Street. The victim received medical attention at NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi and is in stable condition.

Descriptions indicate two of the assailants as males of dark complexion.
