Two Burglaries Reported in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD — On October 16, Deputy McCourt of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a burglary report at the Patuxent Plaza Shopping Center located at 13928 HG Trueman Road in Solomons. Upon arrival, a wooden pallet was observed lying next to shattered glass by the front door. The complainant stated that nothing had been taken, but the estimated damage to the property amounts to $2,000.

On the same day, Deputy Gadwill responded to a burglary report on the 1600 block of Mint Court in Prince Frederick. The complainant stated that the back window of a vacant home had been broken. Deputy Gadwill had previously responded to another property on Mint Court for a similar incident five days prior. No damage to the interior of the home was reported. The estimated value of the damaged property is $1,500.

No arrests have been made in either case, and both incidents are currently under investigation.
