Millville Storms Into South Jersey, Group 4 Semifinals With Decisive Victory Over Northern Burlington

MILLVILLE, NJ – Millville’s football team clinched a spot in the South Jersey, Group 4 semifinals on Friday, dismantling Northern Burlington 49-7. The win moves Millville to an 8-1 season record, solidifying their standing in the WJFL American Division.

The quarterfinal matchup, part of the NJSIAA Tournament, began with Millville setting the tone early. Demere White opened the scoring with a 44-yard run, followed by a 50-yard pass from Jacob Zamot to Lotzeir Brooks, ending the first quarter with a 13-0 lead.

Millville continued to dominate in the second quarter, with Na’eem Sharp scoring on a 4-yard run and Brooks hauling in a 48-yard pass from Zamot. By halftime, Millville led 28-0.

The trend continued into the third quarter, with Brooks making a 19-yard touchdown catch and Jamal Wallace scoring on a 5-yard run. By the end of the third, Millville had a commanding 42-0 lead.

Northern Burlington finally got on the board in the fourth quarter with a touchdown, but it was too little, too late. Millville’s Sharp had one final highlight—a 69-yard touchdown run, sealing the game at 49-7.

Millville’s special teams also contributed, with kicker Lorenzo Lewis converting 5 of 6 extra-point attempts.
