Four Injured in Early Morning Carrick Shooting

PITTSBURGH, PA – A shooting incident in Carrick during the early hours has left four individuals injured.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., Pittsburgh Public Safety officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 1800 block of Brownsville Road.

Upon arrival, officers located two men with gunshot wounds. The first man, sustaining multiple gunshot injuries to his chest, is undergoing surgery and is in critical condition. The second man, who suffered a gunshot wound to his torso, is currently in stable condition.

Initial investigations indicate that the two men were exchanging gunfire.

Around 90 minutes after the incident, it was brought to the police’s attention that two women sought treatment at hospitals outside the city for graze wounds, having traveled there in private vehicles. The investigation is ongoing and is being managed by the Pittsburgh Police Violent Crime Unit.
