Motorcyclist Dies in Virginia Beach Crash on Rosemont Road

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Sunday,, at 6:22 P.M. on Rosemont Road. Justin Artis, 29, of Virginia Beach was traveling southbound toward a red light when the incident happened.

Artis maneuvered his motorcycle between vehicles along the center line and collided with a vehicle that had the right of way at the intersection. Speed is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash.

Artis was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The other driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and was not injured.

The Virginia Beach Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the case, which remains open and ongoing.
