Newark Police Urge Public Assistance in Locating Missing 16-Year-Old

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is requesting the public’s assistance in finding Micah McLean, a 16-year-old resident of Newark. McLean was reported missing on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was last seen at 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in the 400 block of 18th Avenue.

McLean is 5’7″ tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has a dark brown complexion and an Afro hairstyle. At the time of his disappearance, he wore a black long-sleeve shirt and black shorts over black tights. He was also carrying a backpack and additional black bags. McLean is a student at People’s Preparatory Charter School and has a history of running away.

Anyone with information about McLean’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Tips submitted to Crime Stoppers remain confidential and may result in a reward.
