Traffic Problems in Fort Lee with Downed Utility Pole

FORT LEE, NJ – There’s no consipiracy on Chris Christie’s part this time, but be prepared for some traffic problems in Fort Lee until tomorrow.

A downed traffic light has led to the closure of Main Street between Lemoine Avenue and Schlosser Street. Fort Lee Police Department announced the disruption in a Facebook post, stating that the road is expected to reopen by tomorrow.

The incident occurred overnight when the traffic light was struck. No information has been released regarding the cause of the accident or any potential injuries.

Local authorities are directing motorists to use alternate routes. The closure has resulted in delays for drivers in the area, as well as disruptions for local businesses situated along Main Street. The Fort Lee Police Department urges residents to avoid the area until further notice.

Municipal crews are currently on site, working to repair the damaged traffic light and restore regular traffic flow. Authorities have not disclosed an exact time for when the road will reopen but assure it will be functional by tomorrow.
