Two Separate Shootings in New York Leave One Dead, Another Injured

NYPD crime scene investigative unit.

BRONX, NY – A 58-year-old man was fatally shot outside 1285 Washington Ave., near East 169th Street in Morrisania on Friday evening.

Two men, who approached the victim on a moped, were reported to be responsible for the attack.

They fled the scene immediately after. The injured man was transported by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No arrests have been made yet.

In a separate incident early Saturday in Queens, a 37-year-old man was shot in the leg outside 54-22 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway.

The NYPD is investigating both cases.
