ARNOLD, MD — On October 30, at around 10:10 p.m., Eastern District officers were dispatched to a vehicle collision at the intersection of Kimwood Road and Driftwood Court.

Upon arrival, officers found 38-year-old Forrest Allen Ryan of Chester, Maryland, dead in the driver’s seat of a black Porsche Cayenne SUV. Ryan had sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.

The Porsche had collided head-on with an unoccupied GMC SUV before striking a tree.

Officers immediately administered life-saving measures, but Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene by fire department personnel.

The victim’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy.

Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Homicide Detectives assumed responsibility for the investigation. The Evidence Collection Unit processed the crime scene. Detectives believe the incident to be targeted, ruling out the possibility of random violence.
