Man Injured in Meriden Shooting

MERIDEN, CT – A shooting incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Meriden, injuring one person.

At approximately 12:20 p.m., law enforcement responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at 60 North First Road.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male with a gunshot wound to the leg, located behind a residence. The injured individual was subsequently transported to a hospital.

As of now, his condition remains undisclosed, and his age has yet to be specified by the police.

The Meriden Police Department has clarified that this was not a random act of violence, and they believe there’s no ongoing threat to the community. Details regarding a potential suspect remain undisclosed, and the investigation continues. The police department asked anyone with information to come forward.
