Shoplifter Flashes Knife at Dollar General Employee, Flees Store

BRONX, NY — An unidentified individual entered a Dollar General store on Jerome Avenue and displayed a knife when confronted by a store employee, according to police reports. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 24, at approximately 8:15 p.m.

The individual attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise. A 39-year-old male employee approached the person, who then showed a knife before leaving the store on foot. Authorities confirmed that the individual did not successfully remove any merchandise from the store.

No injuries were reported following the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and police are actively seeking information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the individual.
