GREENSBORO, N.C. – A shooting incident has left two minors injured on the 2400 block of East Florida Street.

The Greensboro Police Department stated that they responded to an aggravated assault report just before 1 a.m. Sunday.

At the scene, a 12-year-old male and a 9-year-old female were found with gunshot injuries.

Investigations reveal that the minors were inside a vehicle that was fired upon as a guardian was exiting a party around midnight.

The two victims were rushed to the hospital. While the 9-year-old has been released, the 12-year-old remains in stable condition. Police believe the shooting was not arbitrary, and the investigation is ongoing.
