Teaneck Police Department Apprehends Juvenile in Attack on Teen

TEANECK, NJ – Chief Andrew R. McGurr of the Teaneck Police Department has reported the arrest of a juvenile related to an aggravated assault that occurred last Tuesday night.

Officers were called to the Seasons Express store on Cedar Lane at approximately 8:56 PM after receiving emergency calls about the incident.

A 14-year-old boy from Teaneck was found with serious injuries and taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Investigations led officers to a 16-year-old suspect, apprehended by Bogota Police near Linden Avenue and West Grove Street. A utility knife with blood was recovered from the suspect, who is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Teaneck Police Department is requesting anyone with additional information to come forward.
