Driver Charged for Crash Involving Lakewood School Bus

LAKEWOOD, NJ – A collision involving a Ford Explorer and a school bus at Oak Street and Towbin Avenue resulted in injuries and a summons for a local driver on Tuesday.

At approximately 5:45 PM, authorities from the Lakewood Police Department were dispatched to the scene of the crash where initial findings indicated that Shmuel Fink, 29, did not adhere to the stop sign while driving his 2022 Ford Explorer. The vehicle proceeded into the intersection and was hit by an eastbound school bus on Oak Street.

Following the incident, Officer Christopher Dunphy issued a summons to Mr. Fink for Failure to Stop. Both Fink and the bus driver reported pain and were subsequently taken to nearby hospitals for medical assessment.

The extent of their injuries was not disclosed, and further details on the condition of any bus passengers have not been provided.
