Meth Mom Charged with Murder After Leaving Child to Die in Hot Car

COLUMBIA, PA – Emily Weaver, a 32-year-old resident of the 4300 block of Fairview Road, is facing charges including third-degree murder after the death of her 3-month-old child.

The alleged murder occurred on October 4

The incident involved the child being left unattended in a hot car, coinciding with Weaver’s methamphetamine use.

West Hempfield Township Police were called to Weaver’s residence on the day of the incident after she failed to collect her other children from school.

Concerned witnesses discovered Weaver unresponsive due to drug use and the child deceased in the vehicle.
