Baltimore Police Nab Suspect in August Shooting

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – Detectives with the Baltimore Police Department have apprehended a suspect in an August shooting case.

Diquann Toney, 27, is in custody following his arrest on charges of attempted first-degree murder related to a shooting that took place on August 13th.

The incident, which occurred in the 1600 block of Wilkens Avenue, resulted in a 19-year-old male receiving a gunshot wound. Patrol officers initially responded to a shooting report at a business on Wilkens Avenue, where they found evidence of the crime but no victim present. The victim later presented himself at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Toney was arrested on Wednesday and is currently held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.
