Orange County Man Pleads Guilty in Child Abuse Case

ORANGE COUNTY, NY – District Attorney David M. Hoovler has announced a plea deal in a child sexual assault case.

Trevon Hudson, 28, of Middletown, entered a guilty plea to a Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree on Monday.

The plea stipulates a recommended sentence of 15 years in state prison, followed by a decade of post-release supervision. Hudson’s sentencing is set for February 20, 2024, and will also entail his registration as a sex offender under SORA.

Hudson’s admission in court addressed the conduct involving a minor under thirteen years old. The Orange County Child Abuse Investigation Unit received commendation for their role in the investigation and subsequent arrest.

Senior Assistant District Attorney Julie Mohl is prosecuting the case, emphasizing the continued commitment to pursuing sexual offenders and supporting victims.
