Driver Sought in Newark Hit and Run Crash

NEWARK, NJ – A hit and run incident on Thursday morning led the Newark Police Division to seek the community’s help.

At around 8:10 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a maroon 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan with New Jersey plates Z59LLR at the intersection of Muhammad Ali Avenue and Livingston Street.

The vehicle failed to stop and continued towards Irvine Turner Boulevard.

Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé has called for public assistance in locating the driver. Information can be provided confidentially through the Crime Stopper tip line.

The Division assures confidentiality and mentions possible rewards for helpful tips in solving this case.
