Gun Shot Alert System Leads Police to Wounded Man

BALTIMORE, MD – A ShotSpotter activation led Eastern District police to a 41-year-old man with gunshot injuries on Friday night.

At 9:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Carswell Street where they discovered the injured man. He was quickly taken to a hospital where he is undergoing surgery.

Eastern District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation into the shooting.

Information related to the incident can be reported to Eastern District detectives at 410-396-2433. Individuals with knowledge of the shooting are encouraged to come forward.
