Police Seek Suspect in Northeast Washington Robbery and Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District issued a call for assistance in apprehending a suspect linked to an armed robbery and subsequent shooting in Northeast Washington.

On October 4, at around 6:45 p.m., an individual was robbed at gunpoint on the 4400 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northeast. The assailants took the victim’s possessions and then the victim escaped.

A second incident occurred shortly afterward at 7:08 p.m., where shots were fired by the same suspects in the 500 block of 49th Place, Northeast. One individual was hit by the gunfire and incurred injuries determined to be non-fatal. Post the shooting, the suspects departed the area in a vehicle.

Authorities are currently investigating the incidents and have asked for public assistance to locate the suspects involved. The Metropolitan Police urges anyone with information to come forward and contribute to the ongoing case. The identity of the suspects remains undisclosed as investigations continue.
