Man Found Shot Dead Inside Bronx Apartment Stairwell

A 30-year-old man, David Disla, was found fatally shot in his Bronx apartment on Saturday night, according to police reports.

BRONX, NY – A 30-year-old man, David Disla, was found fatally shot in his Bronx apartment on Saturday night, according to police reports.

Police discovered Disla face down on the first floor of his building on E. 160th St. near Melrose Ave., after he had descended three flights of stairs.

The incident occurred around 11:10 p.m., and despite rapid transport to Lincoln Hospital, Disla was pronounced dead.

Disla, a father of two, was remembered as a “very good father, son, and friend” by a family friend. The victim’s family is originally from the Dominican Republic.

No arrests have been reported, and the investigation continues.
