Philadelphia Officer Wounded in Accidental Gun Discharge at FOP Lodge

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A mishap within the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #5, led to a Philadelphia Police officer being injured on Friday evening.

The incident occurred around 6:54 p.m. at the lodge’s headquarters located at 11630 Caroline Road in Northeast Philadelphia.

A female officer experienced an accidental discharge of her firearm in the restroom, resulting in a gunshot wound to her right forearm.

She received prompt medical attention and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is currently in stable condition.

The Philadelphia Police Department has retrieved the firearm involved and is reviewing the incident.
