Baker County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two in Drug Bust

BAKER COUNTY, FL — In a coordinated effort, the Baker County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, led by Sheriff Scotty Rhoden and narcotics detectives, arrested two individuals during a search warrant execution in north Glen St. Mary.

Dennis May, 64, faces multiple drug charges after being caught selling methamphetamine from his residence. Unaware that he had sold methamphetamine to undercover detectives, May was apprehended during the raid, which also uncovered additional narcotics and a fugitive, Steven Goodman, 43, who was wanted in Kentucky.

Goodman, found hiding in May’s home, had an outstanding warrant for a parole violation related to a sexually violent offense involving a minor.

Both May and Goodman were taken into custody without incident.

The search yielded a significant seizure of narcotics, with May being charged with two counts of sale of methamphetamine, three counts of possession with intent to sell, and possession of marijuana exceeding 20 grams.
