Fatal Shooting in Bronx: One Dead, Suspect Detained

BRONX, NY — A 23-year-old man was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head early Wednesday on East Tremont Avenue, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call at 00:25 hours in the 46th Precinct and discovered the victim. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Authorities have a person of interest in custody. The investigation remains active.

The name of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
