Philadelphia Man Charged in Hit-and-Run That Severely Injured New Jersey Pedestrian

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced the arrest of Naser Abu Ali, a Philadelphia tow-truck operator, on charges stemming from a hit-and-run accident.

The incident occurred on the night of Sunday, September 24, in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Elizabeth Crum, a 67-year-old local resident, suffered severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle allegedly operated by Ali. She is currently receiving treatment at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.

Following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ridgefield Park Police Department, Ali was apprehended on Monday.

He now faces charges including leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and endangering an injured victim. Ali awaits his initial court appearance in Hackensack, NJ.
