12-Year-Old Girl Victim of Attempted Robbery on NYC Subway Train

NEW YORK, NY — Authorities are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred on a subway platform in New York City on November 4. A 12-year-old girl was targeted by two males who tried to steal her cellphone. The incident took place at approximately 9:09 PM on the southbound platform for the D Train.

According to the report, the young victim was seated on a bench when approached by the assailants. The perpetrators attempted to forcibly take the device but were unsuccessful. Following the failed attempt, both individuals fled the scene. The victim was reported to have sustained no injuries during the encounter.

Officials have provided descriptions of the two suspects. The first is a male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a light complexion and medium build, last seen in a blue baseball hat, red hoodie, red shorts, and black and white sneakers. The second male, roughly 5 feet 5 inches tall with a light complexion and a small build, was last observed wearing a black baseball hat, black hoodie, black pants, and black sneakers.
