Fight on NYC Subway Platform Leads to Shooting at Woman

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance to identify a suspect involved in a reckless endangerment incident that took place on Tuesday.

At approximately 9:13 pm, officers were called to the scene at the 49 Street subway station on the N, R, and W lines.

An altercation escalated when an unidentified male discharged a firearm on the northbound platform.

The target was a 49-year-old male allegedly attempting to rob a 40-year-old woman. No one was injured during this incident.

The NYPD has provided a description of the suspect: a light-complexioned male, aged 35-45, standing at 5’9”, and weighing around 230lbs. He was last seen dressed in a light green t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes with white soles, carrying a green book bag and a reusable bag.
