Suspect in Corrine Lane Shooting Arrested

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department apprehended a suspect involved in a shooting on Corrine Lane that took place on Saturday.

Responding to a 9:45 AM emergency call, VBPD officers found an adult male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim received immediate medical attention and was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators identified Horace Creel, 29, of Virginia Beach, as the suspected assailant. Creel had fled the crime scene prior to police arrival but was later captured in Norfolk by the VBPD Warrant Fugitive Unit.

Creel is now facing charges of Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Domestic Assault.
