Cumberland Man Assaulted Witness About to Testify in Court

CUMBERLAND, MD – Cumberland City Police arrested Elias James Harr, 44, on charges of second-degree assault and inducing or inhibiting testimony.

The arrest followed an incident where Harr allegedly assaulted a male to prevent him from testifying in court. Harr, currently held without bond, faced a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center.
