Amber Alert Issued for Missing Teen and Toddler in South Jersey

VINELAND, NJ – The New Jersey State Police, in collaboration with the Vineland Police Department, are urgently seeking public assistance in locating two missing individuals, 16-year-old Akera Johns and 1-year-old Hakeem Hintzen, both from Vineland, N.J.

Akera and Hakeem were last seen around 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 11, at the Cumberland Family Shelter located on Mays Landing Road in Vineland. The authorities have issued descriptions of both individuals to aid in their search.

Akera Johns is described as a 5’10” black female, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Hakeem Hintzen is a 2’0″ black male toddler, weighing around 35 pounds, also with brown eyes and black hair. There is a belief that they may be traveling towards the Philadelphia, PA area.

The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons and Human Trafficking Unit is leading the investigation, with support from the Vineland Police Department. The police urge anyone with any information regarding their whereabouts to contact the Vineland Police Department at (856) 696-1212.
