Man Struck and Killed Crossing Street in Columbia

COLUMBIA, MD — Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on November 12 in Columbia, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

The incident took place at approximately 6:05 p.m. A 2014 Honda Pilot, traveling south on Cradlerock Way at Winter Rose Path, collided with a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the Honda Pilot, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was uninjured and cooperated with authorities by remaining at the scene.

The investigation into the collision is active, and as of now, no charges have been filed.
