Philadelphia 76ers Guard Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Incident

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre, Jr. was hospitalized after a hit-and-run incident on Saturday, November 11. The accident occurred while Oubre was crossing at the 1400 block of Spruce Street at Hick Street.

According to city police, a speeding vehicle attempting to turn onto Hick Street struck Oubre with the driver’s side mirror, impacting his chest. The vehicle then fled the scene, heading south on Hicks Street.

Philadelphia Fire Department medics arrived at the location and transported Oubre to Jefferson Hospital. He is currently in stable condition but sustained a broken rib and injuries to his hip and right leg. Investigations are ongoing to locate the driver responsible for the incident.
