FRANKFORD, DE — A man is in jail tonight after running over three construction workers who he caught talking to his wife.

Delaware State Police arrested Moises Espinoza-Saldivar, 40, of Selbyville, on charges of felony reckless endangering and other criminal offenses following a vehicular assault in Frankford on Saturday morning.

On November 11, at approximately 9:44 a.m., troopers responded to a residence on the 35300 block of Cape Lane after receiving reports of a man hit by a van. Upon arrival, they apprehended Espinoza-Saldivar, the driver of a white work van, without incident.

The investigation revealed that the incident stemmed from a confrontation between Espinoza-Saldivar and his ex-wife, who was talking to construction workers near her home. After a heated argument, Espinoza-Saldivar, who displayed signs of impairment, drove his van towards three workers, striking and pinning one against a deck.

The 44-year-old victim was airlifted to a trauma hospital with serious injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Four children were present during the incident, two on the deck and two who emerged upon hearing the disturbance. Authorities found a small whiskey bottle in Espinoza-Saldivar’s pocket during a search following his arrest.
