Police Investigating Death of Juvenile in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A juvenile was pronounced deceased following an incident in the Midland Court area of Wilkes-Barre.

Wilkes-Barre Police responded to a call on November 13, 2023. Upon arrival, they found several juveniles, including an injured victim. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, the juvenile victim succumbed to their injuries.

The Luzerne County coroner’s office was notified, and the scene was secured for investigation. The Wilkes-Barre Detective Division, Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office, and the Pennsylvania State Police FSU Unit are conducting a joint investigation.

Witnesses and a juvenile suspect were taken to the police headquarters for questioning. The juvenile suspect has been arrested and is awaiting further court proceedings. The investigation into the incident remains active.
