Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit Busts Drug Trafficking Operation

SECAUCUS, NJ – The Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit has made progress in dismantling a methamphetamine and fentanyl distribution ring operating in the area. Recently, Erica Festino, known as Erica Potente, was apprehended, while Roberto Lascano and Louis Governara remain at large.

In June, the investigation began, focusing on the sale of narcotics in local hotels. This led to six arrests and the seizure of substantial quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, and cocaine.

During this operation, a member of the ring was kidnapped for failing to repay a debt to Festino. The victim was abducted in Jersey City, bound, and robbed while being transported in a U-haul truck driven by Governara.

On October 20, detectives from various units, including the Secaucus Police K-9 Unit and Jersey City Police Department Major Case Unit, arrested Festino in North Bergen.

A subsequent search of her residence yielded large amounts of various narcotics and numerous fraudulent items, including credit cards and personal documents belonging to over 100 individuals. Allison Chavez, Roman Shapiro, and Paige Rosado were also arrested during the raid.
