Queens Man Facing Homicide Charge After Running Over 75-Year-Old Woman

QUEENS, NY – On Monday, following the death of 75-year-old pedestrian Linda Hirsch, the New York Police Department has deemed a recently occurred incident a homicide.

Hirsch, residing at 32 Poorhouse Road, Seale, AL, succumbed to her injuries on Friday, October 20.

Rony Zino, 27, of Queens, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, Fail to Yield to Pedestrian, Fail to Use Due Care Causing Serious Injury, and Unsafe Turn.

The initial incident occurred on Wednesday, October 11, when Hirsch was struck by a Ram Pick-Up truck while crossing Fresh Pond Road.

The NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
