Two Dead, Three Hospitalized in North Jersey Overdose Incident

FORT LEE, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the investigation into two fatal overdoses at the Skyview Motel. The incident occurred on November 14, 2023, at the motel located on Bergen Boulevard, Fort Lee.

At 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Fort Lee Police responded to a medical emergency at the motel. They found five individuals showing overdose symptoms, two of whom were later pronounced dead. The other three received medical attention and were hospitalized.

The names of the victims are withheld until the next of kin are notified. The investigation, led by Chief Jason Love of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Chief Matthew Hintze of the Fort Lee Police Department, is ongoing. Further details are not available at this time.
