Cumberland City Police Arrest Man for Smashing Bottle Over Woman’s Head

CUMBERLAND, MD – The Cumberland City Police have apprehended Michael Robert Caswell Jr, a 36-year-old resident of Cumberland.

Caswell was arrested on Tuesday, following an Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court.

The warrant stems from an incident that occurred on Monday, where Caswell allegedly assaulted a female victim by attacking them and breaking a bottle over their head.

Caswell faces charges including first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.

Following his initial court appearance, he has been remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
