Bank Robbery Investigation Underway in Hempfield Township

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a bank robbery at the First National Bank Stonehouse Office on 580 Wendel Road that occurred on Friday.

The suspect, described as a black male, entered the bank at 11:25 a.m., presented a threatening note, and displayed a handgun.

He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, heading towards Route 30.

The suspect wore a face and head covering, a dark hooded shirt or jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers and carried a dark-colored backpack.

Investigators ask anyone with information to contact Troop A, Greensburg.
