FLORAL CITY, FL – On December 27, 2021, a fatal shooting in Floral City led to the death of Stanley Haybron.
Detectives identified Nathan Dortch and David Murrell as the assailants, who were with Haybron and another victim in a vehicle at the time of the shooting.
The second victim escaped and aided in identifying the suspects.
Thanks to the action of CCSO Detectives Norton and Slingerland, Dortch and Murrell were apprehended a day after the incident.
David Murrell has already received a life sentence. Nathan Dortch, recently found guilty, awaits his sentencing scheduled for the end of the month.
