BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Cesar Ortega-Zevallos, 69, of Brick Township, with possession of child [censored]ography.

The charges, announced on Thursday, by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, stem from a joint investigation by several law enforcement agencies.

The New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force initially received cyber-tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, leading to the involvement of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit.

This unit, alongside United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations-Newark and Brick Township Police Department, executed a search warrant at Ortega-Zevallos’ residence.

During the search, investigators uncovered over 1,000 images of child [censored]ography on Ortega-Zevallos’ computer. The discovery led to his immediate arrest without incident. Ortega-Zevallos is now detained at the Ocean County Jail, awaiting a detention hearing.
