Brooklyn Man with Notable Domestic Violence Past Kills Woman, Stepson

BROOKLYN, NY – Luis Collado, a 52-year-old Brooklyn resident, has been charged with two counts of murder following a shooting in East New York.

The incident, occurring on Friday night, resulted in the death of his wife, Rose Acevedo, aged 43, and her stepson, Gustavo Devora Acevedo, aged 26.

The shooting took place in their apartment located on Louisiana Avenue. Rose Acevedo was pronounced dead at the scene, while her stepson, Gustavo, initially survived but later succumbed to his injuries at Brookdale Hospital on Saturday.

Collado, who reportedly had a history of domestic incidents, is also facing charges of attempted murder and weapons possession. The investigation into this case is ongoing, with the police asking anyone with information to come forward.
