Multiple Shootings Rock New York City, Two Injured, Two Dead on Saturday

BRONX, NY – A series of shootings were reported in the Bronx and Brooklyn, leaving two men injured in the Bronx and two fatalities in Brooklyn.

The first incident in the Bronx occurred on Arthur Avenue in Belmont around 9:15 a.m. Saturday. A 19-year-old was shot multiple times, and a 22-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the armpit. Both victims were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

In Brooklyn, a 64-year-old man was fatally shot in front of a residence on Pulaski Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant before 9:40 p.m. Friday. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A person of interest is in custody, with the NYPD continuing its investigation.

Another event in East New York saw a woman fatally shot and her 26-year-old son critically injured. The incident occurred inside a residence on Louisiana Avenue. The woman’s boyfriend, 52, was arrested at the scene, where a gun was also found.

A separate incident in Cypress Hills involved a 17-year-old boy being shot in the back on Jerome Street and New Lots Avenue at 7:45 p.m. The NYPD continues to investigate all these incidents.
